The Autumn Tag

Despite not actually having been tagged, I just couldn't resist answering these questions on my favourite season.  I love Autumn.  Luckily I live in a forest so I get to really notice the changing colours and how it alters the landscape.  Autumn is the best.

Favourite thing about it?  I love the crunchy leaves and walking through muddy puddles when I'm walking Pepé.  This year is his 2nd autumn so we are gonna have a lot of fun, muddy walkies.

Favourite Drink?  Ooh such a difficult one.  I drink tea all year long and picking a favourite is next to impossible.  Going by coffee house popularity though I guess it would have to be a soy mint hot chocolate.  You get the hot warmth of the chocolate but the cooling zing of mint.  Mmm.

Favourite Scent/Candle? I've still got a Christmas Cookie Yankee Candle left over from last year.  It always makes me hungry.  I really want a pine and cedarwood scented candle though as that's the true smell of Autumn.

Best Lipstick?  I don't wear lipstick but I do wear lip balm, especially as my skin gets dryer in the autumn weather.  I fickle so don't have a favourite but I'm currently using Dr Organic's Pomegranate Lip Balm.

Go to moisturiser?  I don't have season specific moisturiser so stick to my regular which at the moment is Neal's Yard Power Berry Daily Moisture.  It's great for younger skin though I'm looking for a decent one with SPF in.

Go to colour for eyes?  You can't beat a warm brown or grassy green.

Favourite music or band/singer to listen to?  I hate music questions as my taste varies so much.  My ipod is full of stuff I run to from Swift to System of a Down.

Favourite outfit to wear?  I like wearing skinny jeans or thick black leggings with a thick pair of thermal socks and wellys then lots of warm layers on top.  It's not quite cold enough for hats and scarves yet but when it is, that's even better.  Especially mitten.  Love them mittens!

Autumn Treat?  Hmmm.  You can't beat a good toffee apple or Cadbury's Screme Egg.  Yum!

Favourite place to be? Running in the woods enjoying the smells of trees and growing mushrooms.

What is your favourite season?  What do you love or hate about autumn?  Let me know.  I'd be interested to find out.

  4. Great tag Helen. We don't really have a favourite season, however your points are making Autumn look very favourable! Living in a forest must be so nice in Autumn; beautiful scenery. Love dressing up warm for a long walk...followed with a nice hot chocolate...perfect!

    P.S. your dogs are adorable.

    1. Mmmm hot chocolate. I am very lucky to live in such a pretty part of the UK. I couldn't imagine living in a big busy city with no woodlands.
