Top Movies of 2015

2015 has been a year of adventure. I started my Australian working holiday visa late 2014 and I'm ending this year in New Zealand and Japan before heading back home at the beginning of January. Whilst I've been pretty darn busy this year, I have found time to squeeze in a few movies. Here's my pick of what this year had to offer:

Life Update - Travelling NZ (aka Too Busy to Blog)

Hello all!

Just an update. I'm camping and travelling around New Zealand until the end of December. Internet is hard to come by here so Tea in the Tub will be taking a mini break until I'm back in the UK at some point in January.

Soothing & Improving Moisturiser, A Bit Hippy - Review

Soothing & Improving Moisturiser, A Bit Hippy*
Soothing & Improving Moisturiser, A Bit Hippy*
Regular readers know I like locally made products and if you read my roadtrip post, you'll see that I travelled around the Gold Coast in Australia. One area I visited was Burleigh Heads. Maybe the best surf spot I've ever come across. So I was so happy to hear about A Bit Hippy. Not just because of their awesome name and ethics (people say I'm a bit hippy) but because they are based at the one and only Burleigh Heads. Wahoo. How local is that?

The Bunny Friendly Beauty Tag

Cruelty-free blogger Vicki from Akin to a Ray of Sunshine created this tag. I've seen that a lot of my CF lovelies have done it so thought it was long overdue for me to tell you my story of becoming cruelty-free :)

Disney presents The Lion King musical at the Regent Theatre, Melbourne - Review

The Lion King musical+
The Lion King musical+
As someone who hates musicals (please don't hurt me), I've wanted to see The Lion King musical ever since I saw it advertised many-a-year ago. A few years later and finally I booked tickets at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne.

Doing my Regional Farmwork in Australia: Part 2

Doing my Regional Farmwork in Australia: Part 2
Eventually after a month of rock picking (aka boulder shoving), the job came to an end. It was a strangely fun job as I got to chat and drive a tractor whilst working on my strength and spotting deadly creatures. Time for a new job.

In July I attended a VIP Limited Editions event at Lush in Brisbane. Whilst I was disappointed at Australia's lack of new Christmas products, I did buy something that I hadn't tried before. Celebrate body moisturiser.

50 Things That Make Me Happy Tag (with pictures)

Leanne from A Slice Of My Life Wales tagged me to do this happy tag. I love a good tag so here are 50 things that make me happy (surprisingly difficult, especially when I struggled to think of 20 hehe).

1. Travelling to new destinations.

Natural Mineral Blush & Lipshine, Dusty Girls - Review

When you think of Australia, you think of hot weather all year round (well I did anyway) Bahahaha! I've just ditched Melbourne's winter as it's a lot like being back in the UK. It's around 8-16C (Being acclimatized this is very cold) with a lot of rain. Bleugh! The fire was lit in the evening and I slept with a hot water bottle.

Doing my Regional Farmwork in Australia: Part 1

Doing my Regional Farmwork in Australia | Part 1
It's been a long time since my last post but I have a genuine excuse. I've moved to Bundaberg in Queensland to do my 88 days of farmwork in order to get my 2nd year visa. If you want to be able to work another year in Aus then that's what you need to do. I've been here around 7 weeks and have done around 30 and I've done and seen all sorts.

Pure Hydration Serum, Herbfarmacy - Review

I love green skincare so was thrilled when I won a full size 15g Pure Hydration Serum on a Herbfarmacy Instagram giveaway a while ago. Herbfarmacy are an organic British skincare company based in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. I live the neighbouring country of Gloucestershire so was happy to find out that they are only about an hour away.

How to: Stay healthy whilst travelling

Many people worry about how they are going to maintain their fitness whilst on the road. Being on the move can be a completely different lifestyle and culinary experience. Even if like me you've simply moved from one Western country to another, it is still a big change and can be a struggle.
Here are some tips I've learned from experience. Hopefully they will help you too.

Brightening & Hydrating Masque & Clarifying Exfoliator, Zk'in - Review

Zk'in are a cruelty free skincare company I had heard a lot of good things about and when I saw that a few of their products containe my most favourite ingredient combo of all, I knew they were the perfect brand for me. My weakness?... Chocolate orange. Evidence 1, evidence 2. You get the point.

Why I Love My Bedroom

I love my room
I love my room
Luxury bedding company Parachute recently inspired me to share what I love about my bedroom. It's without question that my bedroom is my favourite room. I spend an unhealthy amount of time there. Right now I'm travelling across Australia so I don't have a permanent room. For the past few months I've been living in a houseshare in Melbourne. Whilst it may not be luxury, there are ways to make a temporary room yours.

I heard through the Lush Australia Facebook page about the chance to make a very limited edition body scrub with all proceeds going to the charity 1 Million Women, a female led movement on the path to climate change through simple actions. In this case, saving the Great Barrier Reef. A charity worthwhile to check out.

The food of Aztecs: Nature's Way Super Chia - Review

Nature's Way Super Chia
Nature's Way Super Chia
I am a sucker for health food crazes. One I latched onto and have stuck with a couple of years ago is chia seeds. As a runner I've read many things about chia seeds being known as the runners superfood. Apparently the ancient Aztec warriors would munch on them too.

The Makers Mailer - Review

The Makers Mailer*
The Makers Mailer*
The Makers Mailer is a monthly subscription box that showcases the creative talent of Australian designers. Each month is a total surprise as who knows what that months designer creates? I think this idea is really unique. I love receiving surprises in the post, especially one wrapped in super cute brown paper. With beauty boxes you know the kinds of things you'll get but with The Makers Mailer, it could be anything.

Easy Apple Puffs. Low fat and delicious!
  1. I haven't shared a recipe on here in yonks so thought it was about time. Recently I had a craving to do some baking and luckily had all the ingredients I needed to make some delicious, low fat apple puffs which can easily be made vegan. They are really easy and barely take any time to prepare.

Exploring Natural Deodorants

MooGoo & Thursday Plantation deodorant
MooGoo & Thursday Plantation deodorants
Recently I've been looking more into the things I put onto my skin. I think what you put onto your skin is almost as important as what you put 'into' your skin so the less harmful products, the better and I've decided it's time I put that into practice.

Unicorn Horn, Lush - Review

Unicorn Horn, Lush
Unicorn Horn, Lush
Yes, I know I'm late reviewing this but better late than never hey? When Lush products come out in the UK, they take a while to hit the shelves in Australia. In fact they have only just got the mothers day and Easter range in. Getting hold of a real unicorns horn would have been easier as within a couple of days of Unicorn Horn arriving in Melbourne, they had sold out! Luckily they still had some In Your Dreams gift sets left so I snatched one up. This included a Granny Takes A Dip ballistic which I gave to my boyfriend as I cannot stand the smell of ginger and this one reaks of it.

Top Cruelty-Free Blogs to Follow | #BlogForBunnies #BeCrueltyFree

This week is the annual #BeCrueltyFree week, ran by Humane Society InternationalBeing cruelty-free is very important to me. I turned vegetarian when I was 13 (I'm 27 next week!) when I found out about the meat industry during research on animal rights. At the same time I found out about animal testing. I got very involved in animal rights and attended many demonstrations within the UK and abroad as well as in my own home making conscious decisions about the products I brought.
One of my favorite aspects of blogging is discovering like-minded bloggers who are just as passionate about animals as I am. I'm not going to go on about the horrific details of animal testing today but instead share with you some fellow cruelty free bloggers who I think are worth checking out. Share the love!

Preparing for Spring: Body brushing & Tea

Hello, spring (:
Hello, spring (:
This months edition of OM Yoga magazine really caught my attention. There was an article on how yoga can  make you feel at home whilst travelling which I can fully relate to. No matter where you are, you can (usually) do your yoga workout. But my favourite article this month by Dr Vijay Murthy discusses the benefits of dry body brushing, something I have talked about in my DIY Spa Day post and there's even a tea recipe!!

Top 8 Things To Do In New York

First off, I want to apologise for my lack of posts recently. Job hunting, finding a house and being ill has been time consuming but hopefully I'll be back on track soon enough.
As many of you know, I am currently on a working holiday visa in Australia. Prior to Australia I travelled a little bit of America and Canada. If you are planning a trip with a time limit like me, hopefully my experience will help you decide what to do.

Harmonic Shampoo, Intelligent Nutrients - Review

Harmonic Shampoo, Intelligent Nutrients
Harmonic Shampoo, Intelligent Nutrients
Harmonic Shampoo by Intelligent Nutrients is the first shampoo I've ever used that has been completely free of all the nasty ingredients like sulphates, silicones, parabens etc. Unlike other shampoos I've used in the past, this does not create a foamy lather and instead you just add more water to fully coat your hair. This is by no means a negative as I was still able to completely clean my hair using about the same amount that I usually would.

Gluten-free and cruelty-free this shampoo packs a punch. It is super minty so as you apply it you can feel the mint tingling in your scalp making this shampoo really refreshing and great for cooling down after a workout. I have taken it with me on a couple of trips to the spa with my sister as I find it a real treat to use in the showers before I go home. Suitable for all hair types, it left my hair smooth, clean and mega minty!

I love the smell and I love the morals and ethics of this organic company so am going to do a bit of research into their other products as I would really like to try more.

Have you tried natural shampoo before?
