A few nights ago was Queen Street in Brisbane's VIP Limited Edition party at Lush. This event showcased all the Christmas products half a year early. How lucky is that?

I was shocked as there was a huge queue outside waiting for their doors to open and several passers-by were curious as to what was going on. Once inside we were able to try and buy to our hearts delight.
If I was back in Melbourne where had a bath, I would definitely have stocked up on Snow Angel Bath Melts. They smelt so creamy with a very slight, mild floral fragrance. I can imagine it being super softening. Plus during the demonstration, it looked heavenly, turning the water into a milky foam with lots of gold glitter. Gorgeous!

I must say that I was quite disappointed as there didn't seem to be any new items. Of course the Christmas classic Snow Fairy was there in all her glory but sadly there was no spicy shower gel like Glogg which I so loved. I would really have liked to see some new creations but perhaps they are saving those until actual Christmas? I hope so.
In regards to moaning about lack of Christmas spice, I was happy to see the Christmas Kisses bubble bar back but again, lacking a bath so boohoo.

Other than simply buying things, the Lush staff were out in full force displaying products and going around the crown to ensure everyone has a good whiff of whatever product they were holding. There was also a FUN competition. Everyone was handed a small bit of FUN which is like play-dough soap. We were then given one minute to create something we would find in Santa's sack. Guess what? I won the first round with my delightful teddy bear. Sadly I lost the finals as my Tofurky creation was a bit... rubbish.

Finally the thing we had all been waiting for, the raffle to win a huge box of Lush goodies worth around $220. Not one but two to give away! Alas I won neither but I didn't leave empty handed though and brought a tub of Celebrate body lotion so expect a review on that coming up.

Did you attend any limited edition events at your local? Which products are you looking forward to most?

  1. I remember going to Lush, Brisbane when I was over there for my son's wedding. I bought some lovely soaps and bath melts for my future DIL.
You can smell the shop half way down the street!

  2. I'm never sure about Lush. Love some of the products but the smell emanating from the shop puts me off!

    1. You should defo try more. Perhaps buy them online? Some products are creamy and subtle like Floating Island if you don't like overpowering aromas :)
