Over the past month I have been trying out Utmost Me's Neuro Rest sleep aid. A totally vegan and natural sleep remedy. Having tried several calming remedies in the past with none ever working, I was very sceptical. So did these work for me?

Reducing Plastic with Face Cubes No.1, 34.4° - Review #1

Reducing use of plastic is in trend right now, and rightfully so. We've all seen the disgusting images of turtles with straws in their nostrils and seabirds tangled in beer hoops.
I've partnered with small business 34.4° to showcase a selection of their delightful cruelty-free products.

Thin, slow growing hair? I tried the Infrared Massage Hairbrush, CareCo - Review

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and Addison's disease in 2010. Whilst my medicine keeps these conditions under control, there are some symptoms that drugs cannot help. One symptom of hypothyroidism is hair loss. As my problems are hormonal, no hair growth vitamins or shampoos will help. However, as a massage therapist I understand that massage brings blood and therefore more nutrients to the local area.

How I get a better sleep using Warming Eye Masks, MegRhythm Kao - Review

Some of you may know that I often work night shifts. Working throughout the night is not too bad but when I get home at 6:15am, falling asleep can be tricky.
I always wear an eye mask to block out the light but even so, it can still take a long time to fall asleep. My old eye mask had 2 adjustable beads on the sides which made it very uncomfortable. Then I remembered an eye mask I tried in Australia that heats up! A quick google search led me to MegRhythm Kao Hot Eye Masks.

How to Pamper your Feet in 5 Easy Steps - Amphora Aromatics

I love walking around barefoot during the summer. Nothing beats the feelings of grass or sand between your toes. However, all this barefoot activity can wreak havoc on our feet. Here are my top tips for keeping your toes in tip top condition:
Fresh Feet Massage Oil - Amphora Aromatics*
Fresh Feet Massage Oil -  Amphora Aromatics*
  1. Soak your feet in Epson salts. Epson salts may reduce swelling, improve blood flow and have anti-fungal properties. If you have a foot spa, great. If not, just a washing up bowl with warm water works just as well.
  2. After your feet have soaked for a while, the skin will be much softer which is a great time to exfoliate them gently with a pumice stone. Work on the balls and heels of your feet.
  3. Pat dry your feet. Again, due to the softening of your feet, this is the best time to cut your toenails and if you want, pain them.
  4. Apply Amphora Aromatics Fresh Feet Massage Oil. Or even better, get someone to massage it in for you. With a fresh smell and an almond oil base, not only is this massage oil incredibly moisturising but the tea-tree oil makes it ianti-bacterial and smell so fresh! I have tried this out on a few clients after reflexology and so far everyone has complimented the aroma. You don't need to be a massage therapist to use it, just rub it in to your feet and lower legs. The peppermint is also nice and cooling so great when you've been busy on your feet all day. It is really easy to apply and gives a good glide so your hands won't tire.
  5. After this, pop on some cotton socks to help the oil absorb. Now is the great time to put on a new pair of fluffy socks for that extra pamper feeling.

Your feet will thank you for following these steps and you'll be left with healthy looking, happy feet for the rest of summer.

If you have a bit more time to spare, you could even incorporate this as part of a DIY home spa day, and let's face it, we all love a pamper day.

Do you look after your feet? How do you like to relax and pamper yourself?

Top 5 Unusual European Festivals

Europe. Famous for it's history, culture and beauty. From the sunny beaches of Spain to the architecture of Rome. We have it all. But forget your usual holiday, these are some funky looking festivals across Europe I really want to visit (not including toe-wrestling championship in England or the phallic festival in Greece.)

Inspirational Homeware & Stationary, Old English Co - Review

A while back I jumped at the chance of working with Old English Co. It is rare for me to fall in love with almost every item a company offers yet Old English Co achieved just that.
I recently redecorated my room so I'm always on the lookout for new bedding. I am also a part-time motivation-lacking student. I made a beeline for their Home and Stationary sections. Here is what I found and what I thought:

Celebrating National Tea Day with Traidcraft

Today (April 21st) marks National Tea Day and obviously Tea in the Tub is going to celebrate it. Actually everyday is tea day in this house but today we actually have an excuse. I try to live as cruelty-free as possible, so using more ethically sourced and fair trade products is important. I recently discovered fair trade company Traidcraft who sent me a lovely package of fair trade tea to celebrate tea day with. Here are my thoughts:

Vegan #FabFudge - Review

I've tried fudge from little Cornish shops and Christmas markets, finding it grainy, the flavours disappointing and leaving me feeling sick. In 2016 I came across #FabFudge on Twitter. The fact they made vegan fudge in quite unusual handmade flavours caught my interest, and being localish to me (Bristol) and raising money towards MS treatment was... fab. I quickly discovered that it is not fudge I dislike, but mass produced "fudge".

Premier Inn, Putney Bridge. Is it really premier? - Review

Staying in a hotel is always such a rare treat for me. I recently went to see Friendly Fires perform in London and living on the other side of the country, I knew I needed somewhere to stay. I am always budget conscious and a quick internet search led me to Premier Inn. Is everything really premier but the price?

Things I've Loved in March

Well March did not at all go as expected. To start with, the Flight of the Conchords gig got postponed but that's alright as I have something to look forward to. Then, just before Easter, my tiniest dog Minnie lost her eye so I played ambulance driver and zoomed her to the vet. Very traumatic.
But March wasn't all doom and gloom. Here are the things I loved about it.

How to Add a Clickable Link to Blog Comments
When I started blogging many moons ago (5 years worth of moons nearly), I had no idea how to create a clickable link to my blog when commenting on other posts. Here is a simple guide on how to create a clickable link and why you should. I wish I had this information from the start!

The Best Vegan Milk Chocolate Easter Eggs 2018

The Best Vegan Milk Chocolate Easter Eggs 2018
This will be my first vegan Easter, but definitely not my first vegan Easter egg! A couple of weeks ago I saw Anjuli's vegan easter egg post (read it here) and was inspired to create my own. A general browse shows that there are many vegan Easter products but they tend to be dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is ok but I prefer milk chocolate so I dug further and these are my top finds.

Switching Plastic Toothbrushes for Bamboo, The Humble Co

*Not a sponsored post. I just think reducing plastic is super important*
We are all aware about the huge environmental issue that is plastic. If you aren't, I highly recommend David Attenborough's Blue Planet II. Plastic everywhere, unavoidable and filling up our oceans.
I am a huge believer in little steps making a big difference. By replacing everyday plastic items like toothbrushes with eco-friendly ones, together we can make a difference.

Things I've Loved in February

Welcome to another consistently inconsistent edition of things I have been loving recently.
A new month means new naive promises about blogging more often but we all know the likelihood of that! So sit back, relax and enjoy.

My (honest) First 3 Months Vegan

For World Vegan month in November, I decided to go vegan. It was the second time in 2017 that I went vegan having completed Veganuary in January.
In January, I always knew I'd go back to being a vegetarian and I was fine with that. I have wanted to go vegan for years and knowing what happens to male chicks, male calves and how the chickens and cows are treated, I felt that I couldn't participate anymore. After a couple of heated debates on Facebook, I felt more determined than ever to go vegan so I entered November with every intention on remaining vegan. So how have my first 3 months vegan gone?

How To Use & Store Your Lush Naked Shower Gel

One of my favourite Lush smells is Rose Jam. I love Turkish delight so of course I want to smell like one too. In fact one of my first ever blog posts was a Rose Jam review.
In a recent trip to Lush Cardiff I noticed their a few of their festive favourites were available as a Naked Shower Gel instead of as a liquid in a plastic bottle.in a few of their festive fragrances. For those who do not know what a "naked" shower gel is, it is a completely packet-less solid product.
