Top 6 Summer Trends

Week 2 of #summerbloggerchallenge is here with the topic ‘Summer Trends’. I’m not sure if you could call the majority of the following “trends”, but they are certainly summertime traditions of mine. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

1. Experimenting with healthy drinks

I like coming up with fun ways of upping my water intake. Recently I discovered Bluebird Tea Co. Their vast variety of teas are fabulous as iced drinks. I also love making iced green tea lattes but I won’t go into detail about that as I’m planning a post on those quite soon. EDIT: Check out my Green Tea Latte recipe here!

Now this IS a trend. Wearing shorts is my favourite thing about summer. I love all my shorts, especially my newest funky ones (top left) from Primark.

3. Flipflops

It baffles me when I see people in shorts and shoes. Get your flipflops on! Comfortably, functional and stylish.

4. Making use of the long days and taking Pepé on more walkies!

Sometimes (though extremely rarely) I’ll go on a really long walk and pack a little picnic. It’s always nice being outside, especially on a sunny day. I love living in a forest.

5. Enjoying fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables

flowers, bee

I’m very lucky. My dad spends a lot of time in the garden so in the summer we have an abundance of food. Chives, kale, strawberries. Yum yum yum! I love watching all the bee’s buzzing around.

6. Finally, lazing around in the garden reading a good book

garden, read, kindle, summer

I’ve just walked Pepé so can now relax with one of my healthy drinks whilst munching on some home-grown strawberries, wearing my shorts and reading a good book. A perfect summers day.

What are your summer trends? Do you get up to any of these things in the summer like I do?

It was and soo easy to make. Brew some tea, let it go cold. Add ice and option fruit and you're done!

Thanks. Even after I took the photo he didn't move for ages. More out of laziness I think haha.

Do it! I like to read in bed but if I've got nothing planned and the sun it out, then I'll get in the garden.

What a gorgeous dog!! So cute! I wish I lived near a forest or some type of greenery like you – it looks so relaxing on a summer day.

Also I would love to hear how to make an iced green tea latte!

Hopefully I'll be doing a post on that quite soon.
I'm very lucky where I live but I believe that at the very least, cities have parks where you can relax.
