Fleabag Friday | Ian

Staffys have a bad rep at the moment. It’s bad owners that make bad dogs. I have very happy memories of playing with a neighbours Staffordshire bull terrier when I was a toddler. That dog started my obsession with canines. Katrina from Chatter Fox is here to prove to you that Staffys are one of the most loving breeds out there.

This is Ian- named after Ian Curtis from Joy Division. That seemed like a funny thing to do at the time.Ian, dog, staffordshire bull terrior

Ian is three years old but on
occasions still believes himself to be a puppy. He likes sunbathing and
relaxing in his bed.
enjoys playing fetch and is very good at catching the ball…sometimes.

He is a kind fella with a heart
full of love. He’s not the monster the media portray him to be. He likes to
give kisses to
especially my three year old niece.

He is a handsome chap
and started his modelling career as a youngster.

I didn’t want a dog at the
beginning, I was bullied into it by my ex-partner but he’s now long gone and my
lovely little
bundle of fur remains by my side. He’s pulled me
up when I was down, he’s made me smile when all I can do is cry
and he makes every day that little bit more fun.
My life wouldn’t be the same without Ian.

If you are interested in taking part in my Flea-Bag Friday series, please get in touch. All pets are welcome. Fish, frogs, donkeys, dogs, etc. Just comment below or send a tweet @teainthetub

Depending on the the response I get, I will be turning this into a competition where readers can vote on their favourite pet and the pet with the most votes will be sent some treats in the post.

Staffies are such such beautiful dogs it's just a handful of crappy owners who gave them the bad reputation. Ian is a handsome devil, I can't even look at the picture of him as a pup again, I might openly weep in the office.

Staffies are the most popular dogs in Australia. I hate when the media target a breed- I'm guessing some kid was attacked or similar?
Count me in for fleabag Friday. Check out my animal rantings at http://www.seekingvictory.blogspot.com 🙂
