Fleabag Friday | Baker

Welcome to another Fleabag Friday. It’s been a while since the last one due to lack of contributors. If you have a pet of ANY kind, I’d love to feature him/her/them. Anyway, this edition is by a previous Blogger of the Month Danielle from Underland to Wonderland with her furry bundle of joy.

So, everyone, meet Baker.

Hello guys, my name is Danielle and for as long as I’ve read Helen’s blog I’ve wanted to brag about my best friend in a Fleabag Friday. The series is such a cool, cute idea and I love reading about everyone else’s gorgeous little fur-balls, that my little guy just needs to join the ranks!
Finally I’ve gotten in the way of life (instead of the other way around ;P) and made the time to get it done!
Baker is a freshly turned 2 year old, Border Collie Lurcher cross and the reason we got him in particular is a cool story. See I never had a dog growing up but grew up surrounded by them at my Granda’s house. He was a Shepard and therefore had mostly Border Collies. He did, however have another dog that he’d taken in as it was unwanted elsewhere, she was called Honey and was a Lurcher…see the connection yet? haha
During a hard time Jake and I spotted this little light, as if a sign from my Granda and we took a tiny puppy into our life that ended up being the best thing ever for us. He gave us the motivation to get out of bed in the morning, the reason to go on fun adventures and the humour and cuteness overload to make us smile.
Oh, the name Baker? No, it’s not after the make of food! haha It’s actually a skateboarding company.
Baker likes:
To sit on window ledges like a cat and watch the world go by.
Sticks that are way too big for him.
Posing for the camera. He is a natural, though he has grown up with a lens in his face!
(Though he gets no ‘people’ food really) he’s obsessed with cucumber, peanut butter and cheese.
Watching Disney movies.
Swimming! He just learnt in the past 3 months.
Sitting on your knee at any opportunity, even if he is too big.
Baker hates:
Being asked if he is a frog.
Waiting for anything, like buses.
People touching the top of his head without letting him sniff you first!
The sound of sirens and will howl to let you know.
Me hoovering.
Not to be the annoying soppy person that ruins the series with sentimentalness but you have to know just how much this little guy means to me. We are together practically 24/7 and my career is even focused around him so that he doesn’t need to be at home alone. Our trips and holidays are sorted around either his involvement or so my parents can ‘dog sit’, spare money is spent on new toys and treats rather than things for myself and I’d rather sit on the floor than make him move off the sofa.
Some people have kids – I have a dog.
Thank you Helen for having us and thank you for reading guys.<3
If you are interested in taking part in my Fleabag Friday series, please get in touch. All pets are welcome. Fish, frogs, donkeys, dogs, etc. Just comment below or send a tweet @teainthetub

Depending on the the response I get, I will be turning this into a competition where readers can vote on their favourite pet and the pet with the most votes will be sent some treats in the post.

Yey!! It turned out awesome…although I apparently sized my photos too big – eek sorry!
So glad to be apart of the series and will try and shout it out to round up more contributors.

Thank you again for having us <3

He is gorgeous! What a lovely dog and it's great that you get to spend so much time together. He has a really expressive face and I honestly couldn't pick a favourite photo- they're all so cute.

I've got a Jack Russell who I've featured on my blog before and would love to get involved with writing a post for Fleabag Friday.

Danielle sent me and I'm loving seeing more of Baker 🙂 I have a gorgeous fat old Labrador called Stella who's getting to be quite an old hand at this blogging lark…she has a Woof Wednesday blog each week over at Lisas-Life.com if you want to visit 🙂

I LOVE this idea. I'm glad Danielle helped me find this feature, I can't wait to see more. Maybe one day one of my many pets will be featured. Though choosing which will be like my very own version of Sophie's Choice.

Anyway, Baker is gorgeous. He reminds me of a male short fur version of my aunts dog Lily. She's a collie, but I think she's a lurcher too. The have the most lovely faces. <3 Also really touching hearing how they came to have Baker and how much he means to them. Personally I love sentimentality! Aha.

Anyway, can't wait to see more of these. 🙂
