|I love my room|
Luxury bedding company Parachute recently inspired me to share what I love about my bedroom. It’s without question that my bedroom is my favourite room. I spend an unhealthy amount of time there. Right now I’m travelling across Australia so I don’t have a permanent room. For the past few months I’ve been living in a houseshare in Melbourne. Whilst it may not be luxury, there are ways to make a temporary room yours.
- Stick mementos on the wall. I have a Union Jack flag which I bought for the Formula 1 race which now has prime of place to remind me of home. I also have a few photos, postcards and little nick-naks.
Unpack your belongings. The sooner you empty your backpack and put things in drawers and wardrobes, the more at home you’ll feel.
Lay out simple home comforts. I like to lay out my pyjamas and gather a bunch of cushions. Cosy, snug and homely.
I get to enjoy this bedroom for one more week before flying up to Brisbane where my new bedroom will be the back of a camper car.
Whether you have your own room, a shared room, a campervan or a tent there are many things you can do to set up a home away from home but the most important thing you can do is enjoy your adventure and know that you’ll be back in your very own bedroom before you know it.
Where is the most unusual place you’ve slept? What do you love about your bedroom?
