I am a sucker for new Lush products so was very keen to try their new jelly face masks. In store it was difficult to smell each of the 5 options individually (you know how strong Lush stores smell!) In the end I decided to choose based on ingredients, ending up with vegan friendly Fomo as I know rose can reduce redness and I love the smell of neroli.

I am not a big fan of their shower jellies but I thought I’d give the jelly face masks a go and I am glad I did. The jelly texture works very well as a mask. Rather than digging my fingers in, I cut a small triangle out with the edge of some scissors. It mushes really easily on your fingertips to produce a paste which can then be applied straight onto your skin. Easy peasy.

Like mud based masks, this one hardens as it dries which is something I really like in a face mask. The smell is not overpowering with a fresh hint of rose and calming neroli. Definitely one for red skin or mature skin.
I left it on for about 15 minutes and washed it off with a warm flannel. The jelly face masks are about £1 cheaper than the fresh face masks and I personally much prefer them and look forward to trying one of their many others. This pot is going to last a long time as you really do not need much to cover your whole face.

My skin actually felt a bit softer after the first use and there was definitely no redness in sight. With such calming ingredients this would probably be great for someone with sensitive skin or prone to outbreaks.
