About Me

Welcome to Tea in the Tub. A cruelty-free beauty and lifestyle blog.

I’m Helen and I run this blog from the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire with my 3 long-haired chihuahuas, Pe, Minnie & Louis, & golden retriever Honey. I am a self-employed holistic massage therapist, clinical reflexologist & aromatherapist at Forest Holistic Therapies. Making people feel better is just awesome.

Animals are my passion. I have been vegetarian since I was 13 and became vegan in November 2017. I hope everything on my blog reflects this.
I was born to travel. I have been around the world twice, returning from a 14 month adventure in 2016.

Next plan? Travel across Canada in a van.

Met Steps in NYC

Keeping fit is very important to me. I am a red belt in taekwondo and a bronze medallist in the 2018 World Championships and 2019 British Championships.

I have ran the Great Gorilla Run, a charity 7k dressed as a gorilla, 5 half marathons and a Tough Mudder which was by far the most exhausting. Think 11.5 mile obstacle course with climbing, plunging into ice water, electric shocks and lots of mud… and I do this for FUN! Freak. I also ran a Colour Run in Melbourne which was amazing.

I also do aerial hoop and burlesque!

Silver medal!
At last count I had over 35 different types of tea. I enjoy collecting tea but not as much as I enjoy drinking it!
I spend an unhealthy amount of time in the bath indulging in cruelty-free beauty products whilst thinking about ‘stuff’ I use.  I thought it might be fun to share my experiences and opinions with the rest of the world about all this ‘stuff’ and thus Tea in the Tub was born.

I want to do Pretty Muddy Race for Life this year if I can find someone to do it with me & am also going to do the Shine Marathon 🙂 Loving your 'less muddy & sweaty' photo too 🙂 looking lovely! Great blog, can't wait to read more posts from you! 🙂 Jess x

Aww thanks. That's one of the nicest comments I've ever had.
I looove running and fitness. I'll be looking into the Shine Marathon. Sound unusual. Not sure if I could run 26.2 miles though.
